Clean the bezel thoroughly and let it dry completely. 3. Use the micro brush to paint the numbers. Don't worry if the paint gets outside the numbers a little. 4. Let the paint try completely. 5. for example on a rolex 1655 orange hand McQueen, take a sharpie, color in over the areas of the bezel missing paint. let it semi dry and take a rag and wipe the marker away from the top portion of the bezel. Explorer II Bezel Restore. Anyone that has an Explorer II with fading numbers on the bezel that's on the fence about a DIY repaint go for it. I have a 9 million serial number 16550 that's in otherwise excellent condition with the exception of the disappearing bezel numbers.

I have a 2003 white dial stainless daytona, the watch is mint but the bezel black letters seem to be fading. What options do I have? Will Rolex repaint? if yes any idea of cost? how much is a replacement? Along with servicing the movement, the watch maker did a repaint, but because the bezel has some nicks, I noticed a few places the black paint got in and looked a bit rushed overall. He was repainting it as a favor to me, so I didn’t want to complain about the work. So i found the article in the topic explaining how to redo the paint and did it myself, costed me around 10 bucks for materials (a toothbrush, q-tips, wodden toothpics, nail varnish remover and enamel paint from a model shop, the paint was under 4 bucks)
